New Casting Equipment Enters Final Testing Phase Amid Summer Heat

A fully automated 16-station polyurethane foam ring casting system has entered the formal process validation stage at the company's new green manufacturing facility, marking a significant milestone in the development of intelligent production capabilities.

The equipment integrates a two-component elastomer metering and mixing system with robotic automation that handles mold release spraying, casting, mold opening and closing, and part retrieval. An independent mold carrier and ring conveyor line complete the system, which is designed to operate without manual intervention throughout the entire production cycle. The company's existing product portfolio centers on polyurethane foam vibration damping pads, which are widely applied in railway and urban rail track bed vibration reduction, TOD project building isolation, room-within-room acoustic insulation, vibration and noise reduction for large industrial equipment, and precision instrumentation protection at research laboratories.

Following supplier installation and commissioning, the company's internal validation team completed static inspections and no-load trial runs. On July 29, the system officially entered the comprehensive process verification phase. A joint task force comprising the Technology Center's process group and Workshop 203 personnel has taken charge of executing a detailed validation protocol. Each parameter is being systematically tested against predetermined performance criteria, with results determining whether the equipment meets required process capability standards.

The testing schedule has unfolded under challenging weather conditions. Persistent high temperatures and frequent summer downpours have added to the logistical difficulties of daily commuting to the new site. Inside the workshop, which offers little relief from the heat, the team has pushed through the discomfort without complaint. Despite long travel distances and sweltering conditions, morale has remained consistently high as members focus on the technical tasks at hand.

The successful completion of this process validation represents a critical achievement in the construction of the company's intelligent microcellular foam production line. It establishes a solid foundation for the new facility to commence operations as scheduled, reinforcing the company's broader strategy of upgrading manufacturing capabilities through automation and technological innovation. The new equipment will enable more diversified production processes, enhanced product quality, and increased overall capacity in a more sustainable and efficient manner.

The company remains committed to advancing its manufacturing capabilities while maintaining the highest standards of quality control. The ongoing validation work exemplifies the dedication and professionalism of the entire team, who continue to drive the project forward despite the demanding summer conditions. Upon final acceptance, the new system will significantly strengthen the company's position in the vibration damping solutions market, serving both domestic infrastructure projects and industrial applications with improved efficiency and consistency.
