Microcellular Polyurethane Rail track Elastic Sleeper Pad

Application:
Elastic Sleeper Pad is placed between crushed stone ballast and prestressed concrete sleepers on 50kg/m and 60kg/m rails, suitable for both conventional railways and urban rail transit.
Two types available:
Pads placed only under the rail seat areas
Full-surface coverage across the entire sleeper bottom
Material: Microcellular polyurethane
Process: Continuous microcellular polyurethane forming process.
Fully customizable: Thickness, shape, and performance can all be tailored to meet the specific requirements of your line or project.

    Application

    The Elastic Sleeper Pad adjusts the track's natural frequency to reduce vibration and noise. It lowers the force on ballast by 10–25%, which slows ballast movement and reduces wear. The contact area between sleeper and ballast increases from 5–8% without the pad to 25–35% with the pad (stiffness C = 0.2 N/mm³). This improves load distribution, softens the rigid contact between sleeper, ballast, and subgrade, and helps slow rail corrugation – particularly on curves and turnouts. The result is a more stable track, longer intervals between tamping cycles, less downtime, better ride comfort, lower maintenance and life-cycle costs, and extended track service life.

    Production Capacity & Delivery

    We handle Elastic Sleeper Pad inhouse at our dedicated continuous foaming workshop. The facility runs on an automated German production line, giving us consistent quality and high output. Current annual capacity stands at 900,000 square metres of Microcellular polyurethane Rail track Elastic Sleeper Pad.
    Lead time: 7–30 days after order confirmation, based on order quantity and specs.

    Custom Mould Design & Manufacturing

    – In-House, Start to Finish
    We run a full digital workshop with more than 20 CNC machines – machining centres, spark eroders, and wire cutters. That means we can design and produce all kinds of moulds for rail transit: injection, rubber, SMC, and specialised ones like auto core-pulling bush moulds.

    No need to bring in outside shops. Our in-house mould engineers will design the tooling to your exact specs.
    Annual output stands at 300 sets of moulds and tooling.

    Packaging & Shipping Options

    Outer packaging is included as standard. For pallets, we offer two options:
    • Plywood pallets – for standard shipments
    • Solid wood fumigated pallets – certified for export where required
    • All packaging follows standard export practices.
